Each episode features the detectives who broke the case in their small town, and includes assets like jailhouse phone calls, suspect interviews and 9-1-1 calls. The show is anchored by veteran, identical-twin detectives Dan and Dave, and hosted by actress, Yeardley Smith.

Just before he retired in April 2018, Paul led the team that broke the Golden State Killer case, which brought him worldwide acclaim. Other notable cases he’s worked on include The Zodiac, Laci Peterson, Jaycee Dugard, Darryl Kemp, Joseph Naso, and Joseph Cordova Jr. Paul recently released an audiobook titled “Evil Has a Name” which is available on Audible. EPolice get a 911 call from a man named Brad who says he fears for his safety after an older man, William, has hit the back of his truck. While Brad is still on the phone with police, he claims William is advancing on him and pulls the trigger on his rifle. The bullet strikes William in the head and kills him. When Sgt. George is called out to the scene, he learns that Brad is a 30-something, UFC-trained fighter, and former military sniper, while William, ‘Brad’s aggressor,’ is a boozy 60-year-old. Something doesn't add up. Special Guest: Sgt. George Sgt. George has been in law enforcement for over 20 years. Before his recent promotion to Sergeant, he spent 12 years as a detective in the Violent Crimes Unit of his town’s police agency. George has been a member of SWAT for 17 years. In this case, Detective Dave walks us through his investigation of two online predators who were sexually exploiting children online and how multiple agencies around the country work together to try to keep children safe. Special Guest: Sheriff Carl Sheriff Carl began his career in law enforcement in 1991 after he was honorably discharged from the Air Force. He started out as a patrol officer and in 2005 he was promoted to detective. The jurisdiction he served was so small he was often the only detective at his agency. Over the course of his career Sheriff Carl has investigated everything from property crimes to homicides. In 2015 he graduated from the FBI National Academy and in 2016 he was named Lawman of the Year by the Sheriff’s Association in his state.

EWhen a child first reveals they are the victim of abuse it’s a process police call “disclosure.” That’s where Nichole comes in. She’s a trained forensic investigator and relies on a mix of research and empathy to give the victims a voice and bring criminals to justice. Special Guest: Nichole Nichole is currently the Lead Forensic Interviewer for her local Child Advocacy Center. Since 2006, she has been interviewing children who have been witness to, or victims of crime and has conducted over 3,800 interviews. She testifies as an expert witness in child development, disclosure processes, and other topics related to child abuse. In addition to interviewing, she is currently a State and Regional trainer and has been involved in revising the State Guidelines for 2014 and 2017 reviews. She has a BA degree in Law and Justice and a MS degree in Psychology with an emphasis on child and adolescent development.

Terri gets to work putting the pieces together. Special Guest: Captain Terri Captain Terri has been in law enforcement for 23 years. Over the course of her career, she has been a dispatcher, a corrections officer, a patrol deputy, and a detective sergeant before being promoted Captain in 2014.
