A podcast about healing and preventing cancer with nutrition & natural therapies, and living life with joy and purpose! I was diagnosed with stage IIIC colon cancer in 2003, at 26 years old. Will Bulsiewicz, MD – Fiber Fueled: Expand your microbiome, heal your gut and prevent disease with fiber-rich food

Show Notes and Links Here: https://www.chrisbeatcancer.com/will-bulsiewicz-md-fiber-fueled-expand-your-microbiome-heal-your-gut-and-prevent-disease-with-fiber-rich-food/ Nearly 2500 years ago Hippocrates brilliantly declared, “All disease begins in the gut.” And it’s taken almost as many years for science to uncover why… 70-80% of your immune system is in your gut! Today’s episode of the Chris Beat Cancer podcast features Will Bulsiewicz, MD, MSCI, (a.k.a. Dr. B), a board-certified gastroenterologist, gut health expert, and the author of Fiber Fueled: The Plant-Based Gut Health Program for Losing Weight, Restoring Your Health, and Optimizing Your Microbiome. Fiber is essential for a healthy gut, diverse microbiome and a strong immune system. It is, in my opinion, the most underrated nutrient. And as a result, 97% of Americans are fiber deficient! Fun fact: You can’t get fiber from animal food. It is only found in plants. In our interview Dr. Will Bulsiewicz and I talk about Fiber Fueled, how to heal and prevent disease with a fiber-rich plant-based diet, why doctors aren’t educated in evidence-based nutrition, the brutality of med school training, a new study showing how your microbiome affects your COVID-19 risk, and so much more. This was such a fun conversation that Dr. B and I went extra long. Enjoy!

Losing excess fat and getting down to a healthy weight and BMI is essential for prevention and healing. Dr. Greger made quite a few surprising and fascinating discoveries while combing through the scientific literature to learn the best dietary strategies to lose excess weight and keep it off… Like how dinner calories are twice as fattening as breakfast calories (s...

The "hammer" most often used by physicians is pharmaceutical drugs. And in the case of surgeons, their hammer for back pain, knee pain, hip pain, etc. is to put you "under the knife," which often also involves hammers, saws, and drills. That's when she realized she had a problem. After many failed attempts, Annie discovered a unique and powerful approach to understanding and conquering alcohol addiction, without the stigma, guilt, and shame associated with identifying as an "alcoholic" for the rest of her life.
