Ep 11: Hope is Real and Change is Coming with Christine Chappell

Christine Chappell (author, wife, mother, marketer) joins me to talk about becoming a Christian as an adult after the untimely death of her father and what that first year was like for her. Christine struggled, like I did, with the process of growing and maturing rather than being instantly sanctified. She wants us to know that the head knowledge we learn about God and the Bible has to get into the heart and that is where change happens.

Ep 5: Questioning organized religion and why we do things the way we do with Patrick Mead

Why do we do things the way we do at church? Are all the programs effective? Should we be getting together in fancy buildings to pray for each others' health and finances? I don't know. I mean, I go to a regular Baptist church so obviously I'm not against it. Patrick Mead is a former Baptist pastor who has gone out to start a new kind of church with a new kind of church culture. He emphasizes community and relationship and Christian bartenders. Have you ever asked yourself how Jesus would tell us to do church? Think about it!
