Staying At Home for a Virtual Race? | Ep. 132

MotoGP hosted a virtual race featuring 10 GP riders that could be convinced to buy a video game. It was definitely fun - but you know Kev had something to rant about. This episode then flows into any topic you can think of. The most relevant topic might be the idea that wishing for pro sports in a normal world might not be the best thing right now. The cutest topic might have been 'cats'. The most off the wall-topic is the surprising and newly formed BrotoGP Book Club. The most entertaining topic might be what classic races should you watch right now. But the best is likely Kev's idea for new content that Dorna should be producing now - 'directors commentary' of races by the racers themselves.

WorldSBK was Amazing, MotoGP is Cancelled! | Ep. 131

WorldSBK at Phillip Island treated us to some of the closest racing we've seen from that paddock for a decade. Toprak Razgotlioglu, Johnny Rea, and Alex Lowes all took home wins. With Scott Redding bagging three 3rds and Michael Van Der Mark close behind, the championship is tight for the top 5. Hopefully this is a preview of things to come for the entire year and we get a 3-4 horse race for the 'ship.Unfortunately, amazing racing in Australia isn't the biggest story of the week. The global health crisis has caused cancellations and postponements throughout international sports competition. Dorna Sports has cancelled the Qatar GP for the MotoGP class because of a 2-week quarantine for anyone that has recently been in Italy - which of course is likely half the paddock. Thankfully Moto2 and Moto3 teams were already in Qatar from their winter test and can race. The Thai GP and Qatar WSBK round are both postponed. We have no idea where things will go from here.Aside from all that serious stuff, this episode was nuts. Join us live next time to get in the middle of all these antics.#toprakwins #motogpcancelled #brotogpVisit https://www.brotogp.com for BGP SwagVisit https://www.riderzlaw.com to contact Sy and Lawyer Rob for all your legal needs

You & Andrea Iannone might accidentally be taking PEDs | Ep. 129

Do you take supplements? Are you absolutely certain there are no illicit or banned substances in them? How do you know?Andrea Iannone has almost failed a drug test, with his A-sample containing an anabolic steroid. BrotoGP has no idea what's going to happen to his career just yet. But first, Kev wants to set a few things straight. #1 - Its very possible to unknowingly consume a tainted supplement. #2 - PEDs would benefit motorcycle racing in more ways than you might think. This goes deep. After that, we hit up MotoAmerica's loss of the Yoshimura team, their replacement, and what this means for MotoAmerica. Then we talk about the new Superbike Cup and how its going to benefit the Superbike class and MotoAmerica as a whole.FDA list of tainted supplement products:https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/sda/sdNavigation.cfm?filter&sortColumn=3a&sd=tainted_supplements_cder&displayAll=true#drugtests #peds #andreaiannone

Jorge Lorenzo Retires from MotoGP - Valencia '19 | Ep. 128

The end of the 2019 MotoGP season brought a big surprise. Jorge Lorenzo announced his retirement after a string of crashes, injuries, and poor results on the Repsol Honda. Fabio Quartararo was once again unable to beat Marc Marquez in a race. This along with all the hype has Rob digging into stats. Alex Marquez was quickly announced as Jorge's replacement, to no one's surprise and to lots of complaints. Maverick vs Marquez, Finally! - P.I. & Sepang '19 | Ep. 127

All the Yamahas are finally seeing some improvement in MotoGP near the end of the season. So we finally get a real battle between Maverick Vinales and Marc Marquez. We've had to wait quite a while, but it might have been worth it. We also cover Fabio and his disappointment, Alex Marquez's Moto2 title, and some other Yamaha topics. We haven't spoken highly of Yamaha in months, so this one felt good.#maverickvinaleswin #marcmarquez #alexmarquezchampionshipVisit https://www.brotogp.com for BGP SwagVisit https://www.riderzlaw.com to contact Sy and Lawyer Rob for all your legal needs

Scott Redding wins BSB, Other Stuff Happened - Motegi '19 | Ep. 126

BrotoGP is here to wax poetically about the most exciting things in motorcycle racing. The Japanese GP at Motegi was not one of those. Thankfully we are gifted with a new British Superbike Champ in Scott Redding. Leon Camier and Barni racing gets a little air-time. We cover the "fiasco" that was Race 1 of the WSBK Argentina round in San Juan, based on the little information that we have. And we finally talk about Johann Zarco riding for HRC for the 3 season-ending races. Phillip Island is up tomorrow so listen to this ASAP.

Garrett Gerloff is more exciting than Marc Marquez - Thailand '19 | Ep. 125

We're back and not much has changed since we last recorded. The 2019 MotoGP championship is sealed with Marquez finishing in front of Dovisiozo. Fabio Quatararo almost won that race just like Kev almost didn't mini-rant this episode. But the real meat and potatoes of this podcast is two points:1. What's more exciting - good races and a boring championship OR bland races and an exciting championship?2. Garrett Gerloff is going to race in WorldSBKKyle Wyman joins us and bring a lot of insight about some of the racers, especially Gerloff. Of course we talk about the past and future of MotoAmerica with another American going to the world stage. Some of us have high hopes for him and that GRT Yamaha team.
