Another Dr. Death

EThe Hippocratic Oath is a promise made by a doctor. In this oath, the physician swears to do no harm, promising to respect a patient’s autonomy, providing confidentiality and esteem. The trust between a doctor and patient is almost always implicit and immediate because of this oath. Moreover, doctors attend school for years and years, […]

TCFC Prime - Diane Downs

EExclusive EpisodeIn recent years, the news frequently highlights stories of mothers who have killed their children. In some cases, this is the result of postpartum depression, as when Andrea Yates drowned her five children. Other situations occur as the result of divorces, such as the case of Debra Jeter, who murdered one daughter, and attempted to murder the other, to punish their father, and because she was despondent over the pending divorce. Still other cases of parricide occur because the mother views the children as a hindrance, such as the case of Susan Smith. But before Susan Smith, there was Diane Downs, who coldly shot her three children, without shedding tears.

Duty to Warn

EThe medical system prides itself on following the Hippocratic oath – never revealing the secrets of patients. Even in some legal cases, medical records cannot be released without subpoenas or warrants. This has made it possible for psychiatric patients to make threats while in therapy, without worrying their therapist will report the threats to the […]

Mia Zapata

EThe grunge rock scene exploded in Seattle, Washington, in the early ’90s. Bands like Nirvana were rising in popularity, but Seattle called itself home to many up and coming stars. Many of those bands vied for their chance to play at the Comet Tavern, a local bar that still stands today. Mia Zapata and her […]

The Murder of Timothy MacNeil

ETeenagers that kill aren’t widespread. Murderous youngsters is a disturbing thought for most people. An even more troubling idea is that those teenagers, a sibling duo no less, would plot and carry out a plan to murder the only adult that ever protected them. Together, 19-year old Nathaniel Gann and his 17-year old sister Brae […]

TCFC Prime - Melanie Eam

EExclusive EpisodeTypically, when couples break up, there is a mourning period, and the parties go their separate ways, or they get back together and repeat the cycle. That was the case with today’s story with 20-year old, Melanie Eam and 21-year old, James Barry. They were on and off several times and like many young couples, they fought. The fighting began wearing on James. He finally decided it was time to break off the relationship for good. However, ending a relationship that has run so hot and cold isn’t always easy and doesn’t always stick. Breaking up with someone by messaging them in a video game group chat would be the final straw for most people, but when this is how James ended the relationship with Melanie, her rage rose to a murderous level.

Robert Carr

EVery few rapists seem to be in touch with their sexual deviance and proclivities; fewer still ask to remain behind bars, to protect the public. But one mild-mannered, unassuming rapist-killer did just that, but was released on parole anyway. The results were devastating for many. Sponsors: GlobeIn: To get 20$ off your first box on […]

Debbie Wolfe - Exclusive

EExclusive EpisodeWhen a person goes missing, sometimes there is clear evidence pointing to where they went or the reason for their disappearance, but not always. More often than not, the families are left wondering and questioning, examining every shred of information for clues as to their loved one’s whereabouts. Sometimes answers come, in the form of a body, and then, there are even more questions than before. When the body of Debbie Wolfe was discovered, her death was ruled an accident, and her mother, Virginia Edwards, known as Jenny, spent the rest of her days fighting for the truth about what happened to her daughter.

EListener discretion is strongly advised for this episode. There are approximately 750,000 registered sex offenders in the United States. These predators are bound by law to check in when they move, so children in the community can be protected. Unfortunately, the registry and prison does not always work for some offenders. Such was the case […]
